Finally – back in Raiding mode (Sartharion)

It was with great eagerness we headed out for our first raid after release of WotLK!
After a late start, log in queues hit us hard 
, we went in and downed Sartharion after a few tries to get the hang of the lava walls.
Great job all and gratz to the loot! We are on the move!

Time for Peak to celebrate Christmas. Have a nice and relaxing holiday with friends and family and lets get started with the raiding early next year.
Myself have spent the last few days leveling fishing and trying to catch Ironjaw in IF. 1300 catches and no sight of him so far. Tell you what – I will not spend any time in Ogrimar to try and catch the rare in there. Was there for the fishing diplomat achivement and it went smooth. So now im sitting at 400 skill and have 50 more skill levels to try and get that bastard
Sons of Hodir I got reverded with today so now I got a huge mount – the Ice Mammoth. Still will aim for exalted and the epic shoulder enchant.
Well, time for x-mas now. Spend the time with family and friends, eat lots of food and have a good time. See you again around New Year. Until then – enjoy the holidays!

Main Focus – Heroics

One of our healers just turned 80 so now it is full focus on beating all the heroic 5-mans.
This will be our main focus while waiting for the 10-man team to be ready. There are plenty of achivements to be made and it is refreshing to leave the easy-mode normal 5-man dungeons behind.
We will set a goal of running at least 2 heroics each nite within guild. One group need for now to look for healing outside of guild but we have healers levelling so until then this will do. Have some good friends around that we can call on so this shouldnt be a problem.
By doing this we will come fully prepared when we enter Naxx the first time with heroic and badge reward upgrades. Still think our initial plan of starting 10-mans in beginning of 2009 holds and we are all looking forward to it!
Still, we could use some more healers to ease the preassure of the ones we got. So feel free to send in an application.
We are also helping and supporting our jewelcrafters so they can reach the high level recepies and be ready to make some nice rings and necklaces for the guild members. Its a long and costly journey but we get there eventually.
We are ready to raid….. allmost.

Last nite Peak tried to have our first look at Naxx 10-man.
We had the tanks and dps in the raid but where lacking healers, the ones we got are still not quite ready for raiding. Trying to find three healers via LFM turned out to be a lot harder than we first thought. After an hour or so we realized that it wouldnt work so we called off the raid.
Then when trying to get a heroic going it was allmost as hard to find a suitable healer. Eventually a healer showed up but it was clear after a while that both gear and healing experience was lacking and we had to call it off also.
So the healers are scarce and we need to continue looking. It might take som time but im sure we find them eventually. We have such a nice team of players that when we sort out the healing we will do great!
Any healers out there reading this are more than welcome to apply if you fill the requirements we got

Last nite Peak got its first level 80 ding!
Grats Thudo our gnome Death Knight – well done. A few more in his heels will hit the cap this weekend for sure so now its time to prepare for heroics and raiding.
Btw, we are still recruiting – espescially healers
